NAET and Autism: A Personality Change!!!

Posted By Phyllis on November 13, 2009

I am now fully convinced that there is a huge link between the immune system and autism.  My evidence: my daughter “Shannon’s” positive response to NAET, an allergy elimination treatment that has its roots in Chinese medicine. Allergy is of course the immune system gone awry. So treatment to eliminate allergy also eliminates autism??? So strange.

Her positive response is this:  first her long-time acne was cured, and now she’s turned into a friendly old salt. She was formerly a cheerful young adult who was definitely ignorant of what you might be thinking, and therefore occasionally thoughtless, and normally wary. There has definitely been a personality change. A good friend of mine who sees her fairly seldom ran into her a week or two ago and expressed her amazement at Shannon’s friendliness. “You would NEVER know she has Asperger’s,” said the friend. “It used to be there, you could tell. But not now.”

Shannon has Asperger’s, diagnosed at age 11. She DEFINITELY was missing those mirror cells in the brain that let us know what the other person might be thinking.

For those of you who know her, talk to her and let me know what you think!

  1. Here’s some research that links autism and the immune system:

  2. Phyllis, My advice is to look more deeply into traditional chinese medicine (TCM), classical homeopathy (Hanneman), and manual osteopathy for all these autoimmune disorders. These modalities work on the energy flows in the body. We are beings of light and energy and these energies can be harnessed to help our bodies heal. Conventional medicine follows a biochemical mechanical approach that has inherent limitations for help in with chronic disease. Do be aware it is hard to find practitioners in these fields who have studied properly to help pediatric cases. But I can tell you I have seen miracles from these practitioners where western medicine has nothing. Also, these methods are a lot of work for both parent and practitioner (no magic bullets!) and also can not be patented so drug companies and many doctors don’t like them. An effective treatment plan using these non-mainstream modalities is HIGHLY individualized and this takes a lot of thought.

Keep going!!! You can cure your child even though DMS-IV (the so called standard of care manual) says you can’t.

Blessings to you and all out beautiful children.

  3. Thank you, K!!!

  4. My 4yo son has been doing the NAET autism treatments and he is a different kid now! Its amazing that even his preeschool coulndt believe the change in him! there is something to this!!

  5. Wow, this is inspiring. I have wanted to try a NAET Dr.for my son (on the spectrum) however I do not know anyone personally that has tried it. This past week I had blood work done and I am awaiting the results to see if there are any food sensitivities. Did you go right to a NAET dr or did you have blood work drawn to see if there were allergies or sensitivities? And how long were the treatments? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance! I also have a blog that I have just started. The reason I started the blog was I wanted to share some of the things that I have tried with my son, but more importantly I want to learn more. We have only started this journey a year ago and I am overwhelmed by what I should and shouldn’t be doing. So I have asked people to post treatments, programs, etc. that they have tried that they have seen results. NAET has been an area that I have not gotten much info on. So, again thank you. Please share anything you think I should know.
