NAET treatment for autism: promising
Posted By Phyllis on February 24, 2010
Shannon is continuing her NAET treatments for her Asperger’s. It’s some sort of acupressure aimed at specific allergens or substances that the body reacts to. She had a big reaction to the treatment for the MMR vaccine, and then a week later another big reaction to a treatment for the DPT vaccine. Interesting! She recovered in 25 hours, meaning that her system should now no longer be affected by those.
Although we have autism in our family (my brother is autistic), I always wondered whether she also falls into the category of kids who regressed at a young age possibly because of vaccines. She started showing symptoms of what I called “a little bit of autism” at age 4 (in 1991 when the epidemic hadn’t started yet). She stopped looking people in the eye. Before that, she was a totally normal child.

Hey there! I happened upon your blog and have a big favor to ask and I hope you don’t mind. Please disregard if you do:
My husband is working on a marketing plan for a firm that specializes in autism for his final UW MBA project.

Can you take the survey if you have a family member affected by autism or pass it on to someone who is? Many thanks.

Hi Phyllis – how are the naet treatments going? thanks for your blog- it really is helpful!
Hi Steph,
Shannon has had some difficulties with the treatments, especially the one for the DPT vaccine. That took her weeks to conquer. By difficulties, I mean that her body apparently was seriously affected by the DPT vaccine, and the NAET repair work takes some time and effort.
She’s having an extended struggle with the treatment for female hormones now. I don’t understand why those might be out of whack! So her acne comes and goes, depending on whether she’s on top of the treatments or not. This is better than terrible acne all the time, I would say. Also, she has gotten a lot more personable, which is all I ever dared hope for. She’s been seeking out social time with me. This NEVER happened before. It’s been more than a year on the NAET now.
Shannon is VERY high functioning, so another child with more issues might respond differently or more quickly.
